The Shield is a one day competition for teams in the league held this year on Saturday January 4th at 6PM.
Results :
A League - Seymours A Winners, The Well A Runners Up.
B League - The 44 Winners, Phillies Runners Up.
C League - The Clodagh Winners, The Well B Runners Up.
This year we will try a completely new format as follows :
A, B And C Shields - Separate A, B and C shields.A shield in The 44, B shield in Carney and C shield in McGraths.
Round Robin - We will use Round Robin Format with the top two teams qualifying for the final.In round robin all teams play each other so each team will be playing 4 games in the A and B shield and 3 games in the C shield.
Match Format - There will be no doubles just 6 matches of singles best of 3 games each, one point for each match won.
Finals - The top two teams on points play each other in the final once again 6 games of singles.
If there is a tie for one of the top two spots it will go on Head to Head.If the head to head was a tie it will be decided by playing one game of 1001 with all 6 players throwing.
